A scammer may send you a text message, suggesting they work for the Carsales network and tried to convince you to reply to the message.

Carsales does not ask customers to verify details via SMS or email. Never respond to any SMS messages claiming to be from Carsales. If you receive a suspicious text message, do not respond. Do not click any links in an SMS message. Do not respond to a text message via email.
What can you do to avoid these scams?
There are a few things you can do to avoid taking the bait.
- Do not respond to an SMS claiming to be from Carsales
- Always check the phone number the message is coming from.
- Never click any links in text messages that ask you to login to your account. To review/edit your ad you should always open your browser and type in the webpage,
- Do not respond via email to an SMS
